Commercial Lines Assistant Vice President

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Assistant Vice President to join a growing and financially stable mid-sized insurance firm. This role is pivotal in supporting the Vice President in the day-to-day operations of the department, mentoring staff, and overseeing the Property & Casualty (P&C) book of business. Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000 annually
• Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the Vice President in managing the department's operations.
• Assist in training and mentoring staff to foster professional growth and development.
• Help implement new team structures and revise job descriptions as needed.
• Oversee the P&C book of business for the department, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.
• Work on middle to large market accounts, primarily in the manufacturing, logistics, and hospitality industries.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licenses/Designations: Active P&C license required; professional designations such as CIC, CRIS, CISR, CPCU, or ARM are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in commercial lines insurance, with prior leadership experience and expertise in mid to large market accounts.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with AMS and EPIC systems (transitioning to EPIC).
• Soft Skills:
  • Must-have: Process improvement mindset, mentorship abilities, and strong organizational/detail-oriented skills.
  • Desired: Collaborative nature and initiative-taking attitude.
