We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in programming CNC equipment using NX software, and proficiency in managing various CNC machine controls, including Fanuc, Heidenhain, and other industry-standard platforms. This role involves producing high-precision components for the aerospace industry, ensuring optimal machine and operator productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
+ Program CNC machines using the NX platform to produce complex aerospace components with high precision and accuracy.
+ Work with a range of machine controls including Fanuc, Heidenhain, and other industry-standard systems.
+ Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to design, select, and optimize cutting tools for manufacturing processes.
+ Continuously evaluate machining processes and implement improvements to reduce cycle times, increase tool life, and optimize productivity.
+ Resolve programming and machining issues, offering solutions to improve machine performance and quality.
+ Work closely with engineers, machinists, and other areas of the business to ensure smooth production flow and meet tight customer schedules.
Essential Skills
+ Associates Degree within Engineering Discipline.
+ 5 to 10 years experience as CNC Programmer within heavy metal machinery manufacturing.
+ 5+ years of experience in NX software platform CNC Programming.
+ Familiarity with Fanuc, Heidenhain, and other prominent CNC machine controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience within aerospace manufacturing.
+ Experience within tool selection, design, and process optimization.
Work Environment
The work environment is a family-owned facility undergoing a turnaround with new leadership, offering opportunities for growth and expansion of CNC knowledge. Although the shop is dirty, it is climate controlled and houses over 100 CNC machines. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with 40 to 45 hour work weeks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
